UKAHT has long had close ties to the heroic Antarctic explorer, Sir Ernest Shackleton. Our vice patron is the Hon. Alexandra Shackleton, Sir Ernest's granddaughter, while his iconic ship Endurance is now in the care of the charity following its discovery in 2022.
