Our youngest site, Damoy is the soleairstrip protected by the Antarctic Treaty. The modest hut served as a waitingroom and training ground between 1975 and 1993 for personnel arriving by boat,as they awaited flights for days or even weeks. This year, UKAHT’s field teamwill be restoring the hut to its original orange colour, chosen for itsair-to-ground visibility.
